Life Of Pi

Author: Yann Martel

Amazing, astounding and a great example of the art of story-telling. I just finished reading this book over the Labor day weekend. Every chapter was a new learning experience. I shared some parts of the story with my six year old so as to direct his attention towards good books. I was successful in inculcating his curiosity but will have him wait sometime before he reads it so that he can understand the book’s meaning also.

There are many sequences in the story that will make you laugh and cry but essentially it is a story of the survival of a 16 year old Indian boy (in a unique company) in the Pacific ocean. It is about life, faith and spirituality that makes you think about ones’ priorities. All in all it is a complete book, which I would like to read again and again.
